How Objects are Identified
Object Manipulation saves information about the Name, Type and Role for each object.
Clinical Protocol Editor
The clinical protocols have the following information for each entry in the OAR Constraints list: Organ Type.
Finding the PTV
Role = PTV. If there are no fitting objects, then
Role = CTV. If there are no fitting objects, then
Type = Tumor.
Finding the Boost
- The boost is completely contained within the PTV
- The boost must be assigned the same Role and/or Type as the PTV (following the rules above).
If detected, the software uses the boost for a simultaneously integrated boost (SIB) plan. The VMAT optimization uses the prescription and constraints entered for the PTV for the “pure” PTV (PTV – boost) instead.
Finding the OARs
Type = Organ Type. If multiple objects are found, then additionally
Role = OAR.
