About 3D Options
The 3D Options toolbar allows you to create and adjust the following features of 3D visualization:
- Threshold adjustment
- Image cropping
- Select ROI (Region of Interest)

3D Visualizations
When scrolling through a 2D image set, a yellow line or shadow within the 3D visualization represents the location of the currently viewed slice. Within other 2D images, a crosshair represents the intersecting planes. These representations fade when scrolling stops.
Trajectories, objects and points are visible within 3D visualizations.
Digitally Reconstructed Radiograph (DRR)
The DRR preset uses CT data to create an X-ray image approximation. The result is an X-ray-like image, calculated from the selected angle.
Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)
MIP is a volume visualization method for 3D data that projects the voxels with the maximum intensity along the viewing direction in the visualization plane.
Presets
Available presets vary depending on data type:
Data Type | Standard | Other | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
CT without contrast | Skin | DRR | Bone | Bone/Vessels, Skin/Bone/Vessels and MIP |
CT with contrast | Skin | MIP | CT Contrast (bone and vessels) | Bone, Skin/Bone and DRR |
MR | Skin | MIP | Vessels | N/A |
Rotational angiography | Bone | MIP | Vessels | N/A |
PET/SPECT | MIP | MIP | MIP | N/A |
Objects View
The objects view shows all selected voxel objects, trajectories and fiber objects.
