About SRS Registry
Background Information
The Stereotactic Radiosurgery Registry (SRS Registry) is a joint project of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), NeuroPoint Alliance (NPA) and Brainlab. It has been developed to collect data on the SRS treatment of:
- Brain metastases
- Benign brain tumors
- Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs)
- Define national patterns of care in radiosurgery
- Improve healthcare outcomes
- Support informed decision making
The AANS created the NPA as a not-for-profit corporation to coordinate projects involving the acquisition, analysis and reporting of clinical data.
Overview of Data Collection
Data fields for the SRS Registry are defined by a scientific committee organized by the NPA. The registry collects data on various patient events, such as SRS/SRT treatments, WBRT, surgical resections and follow-up examinations.
