Positioning the Reference Array
Reference Array Position
Position the reference array so that it remains visible for the entirety of the procedure. Consider where people or objects may block the line of vision from the reference array. It is helpful to position the camera and the reference array on the same side.
Ensure the system placement does not interfere with the surgeon’s working area.
Brainlab recommends placing the system at the foot of the operating table for neurosurgery procedures and at the head of the operating table for ENT procedures.
