Software Revalidation Workflow
Start Brainlab Elements and select a suitable patient.
Select the software icon to start the workflow.
Select an appropriate patient data set including at least one CT image set and the tumor.
Start the software.
Select the couch top and adjust the couch top position.
Check that the view updates when you change the couch top selection.
Check that you can use the cropping functionality in all views.
Acknowledge the treatment orientation.
Check that the second page loads correctly.
Review the Outer Contour.
Check that the main page opens correctly.
Select the machine profile and energy.
Click Select to check if a Protocol and Setup are selected.
Check that you can pan, zoom, scroll and perform windowing.
Check that the Calculate button is enabled and highlighted orange.
Select Calculate and check that the calculation works.
After calculation is completed, check that the isodose lines are displayed on the available MRI and CT image sets.
Check that a dose legend is displayed.
Check that the symbols in the Plan Analysis table updated their color to show the actual result.
Check that the DVH changes curves when you select different objects.
Select different arcs in the 3D arc view and check if the equalizer adjusts accordingly.
Drag the equalizer. Does the gantry move accordingly? Does the beam’s eye view update accordingly?
Check that all views in all layouts are displayed correctly.
Select Back and check that a message box appears informing you changing the patient model will lead to loss of the treatment plan.
Check all steps involved in creating and saving the PDF.
Export the plan to an R&V system and to ExacTrac. Check that an export summary opens and closes.
Exit the application. Revalidation is complete.
